Hot Lunch Team Volunteers Needed
Thanks for supporting this year's new hot lunch platform (munchalunch) and new vendor (Bittersweet). The Hot Lunch Team will be passing on the baton and is looking for new coordinators to ensure smooth delivery of the hot lunch twice a week, and to liaise with the vendor(s) and Brock staff. Without new volunteers the hot lunch program will not run next year. Roles Available: The munchalunch platform admins (minimum 2 people): you will get an orientation session to understand how the platform works, ideally before the end of June as it goes offline until late August for September set-up. Time commitment varies but at the beginning of each session (Fall, Winter, Spring) it could take 3+ hours to set up classes, and menus online. Ensure good communications with vendors, Brock staff and Brock PAC (comms channels). Weekly online commitment is minimum 1-2 hours: mostly checking orders, reminders for payments and any troubleshooting. Brock Staff need the orders before each hot lunch day (twice a week)- if covid protocols continue through the fall and students eat in their own classrooms. In-person commitment: on hot lunch days (currently Tues/Thurs), at least 2 volunteers are required to check orders. If students eat communally in the fall, more volunteers would be ideal to distribute and set up lunches for all classes.
